What is your general philosophy and approach to helping? Are you more directive or more guiding?
I like to begin by being, as Ted Lasso says, "curious, but not judgmental." I use appreciative inquiry skills, identifying my clients' strengths and struggles. As I understand them better, I offer psychoeducation, perspectives, and, when appropriate, coaching.
