If you were not a therapist, what other career would you choose?

I always wanted to be an actress but I knew that was a very difficult career path to take for myself. I now act in community theater and love it!
What made you want to become a therapist?
Benna
says:
When I was in high school I was part of a class/group who worked with younger students at the middle school in a peer support role. I wanted to be the type of person someone would want to talk to about anything and everything and have them feel understood, heard, and validated.
How do you see your role as a therapist in your client’s lives?
Benna
says:
I see my role as a therapist in my patient's lives as a supportive and safe place to explore their feelings, struggles, and pain, as well as their victories, and growth.
